Targify is the first of it’s kind on the Irish market

A Cork Entrepreneur has developed a safety software solution to help parents of Cork’s young drivers monitor their behaviour on the roads to put a halt to bad practices such as speeding, sudden braking and harsh cornering.

The driver monitoring system and app named Targify, is the first of it’s kind on the Irish Market and has been developed in order to ultimately lead to safer road usage for all.

The app will let parents know in real time how their children are driving – a tiny device is plugged into the car and an app on the user’s phone will tell them if there’s excessive speed amongst other bad driving habits, it also gives a driving score and it can be used as tracking device if the car is stolen.

Young drivers are the most vulnerable on Irish roads, between 2014 and 2017, 47 learner drivers were involved in fatal collisions.
